  1. Per the instructions above, ensure you have removed any existing SU-secure profiles from your device.

  2. Visit the ITS downloads page at https://www.seattleu.edu/support/downloads/ You may be prompted to enter your SeattleU credentials to access this page.

  3. Locate the ‘Autoconfigure SU-secure’ heading and download the Windows Devices configuration package.

  4. Locate the ‘AutoConfigureWindows-SU-secure.zip’ file in your downloads folder

  5. Right-click the folder, select ‘Extract All’ and then click on the ‘Extract’ button.

  6. The extracted contents of ‘Autoconfigure SU-secure.zip’ will appear.

  7. Double click the ‘RUNME – Auto configure SU-secure’ file to automatically configure your SU-secure connection.

  8. Select SU-secure from the list of available networks, click connect, and enter your SeattleU credentials in the authentication prompt that appears.

  1. Add SU-secure to your wifi network list

    1. Click on the start button, type ‘network and sharing center’ in the search bar, and click on the Network and Sharing Center button. The Network and Sharing Center will appear.

    2. Click on the ‘Set up a new connection or network’ button to add a new wireless network.

       

    3. The Set Up a Connection or Network menu will appear. Select ‘Manually connect to a wireless network’ and press ‘Next’ to continue.

       

    4. The initial connection set up menu will appear. Enter the following information and then click ‘Next’ to add SU-secure to your list of wireless networks

      1. Network name: SU-secure

      2. Security type: WPA2-Enterprise

      3. Encryption type: AES

      4. Security key: Leave blank

      5. Start this connection automatically: Checked

      6. Connect even if the network is not broadcasting: Unchecked

         

  2. Configure your connection

    1. A window will appear that confirms SU-secure was successfully added. Select ‘Change connection settings’ to continue to the wireless properties menu.

    2. Click on the ‘Security’ tab at the top of the wireless properties menu.

       

    3. Once on the Security tab, ensure the following settings are configured:

      1. Network authentication method: Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP)

      2. Remember my credentials for this connection each time I’m logged on: Checked

    4. Then click the ‘Settings’ button next to the network authentication method drop down bar.

       

    5. The Protected EAP properties menu will appear. Make the following changes and click ‘OK’:

      1. Validate server certificate: Checked.

      2. Connect to these servers: Checked.

      3. Server list: service1oitias1.seattleu.edu;oitnac1.seattleu.edu;

      4. Trusted Root Certification Authorities: Check ‘AddTrust External CA Root’ and then scroll down in the list to check ‘USERTrust RSA Certification Authority’

      5. Do not prompt user to authorize new servers or trusted certification authorities: Unchecked.

      6. Select Authentication Method: Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2).

      7. Click on ‘Configure…’ next to the Authentication method dropdown bar and uncheck ‘Automatically use my windows logon name and password’ in the popup box that appears, then click ‘OK’.

      8. Enable Fast Reconnect: Checked.

         

    6. Click ‘OK’ on the Protected EAP properties menu.

    7. Click ‘OK’ on the Wireless Network Properties menu.

    8. Click ‘Close’ on the Manually Connect to a Wireless Network menu.

    9. Click on the wifi icon in the system tray to bring up the list of available wireless networks. Select SU-secure from the list and click ‘Connect’.

    10. You will be prompted to enter your credentials. Enter your SU credentials and click ‘OK’ to connect.

       

  3. Verify that you are connected

    1. Upon successful connection, your system tray menu will show that you are connected to SU-secure:

  4. Locate the ‘AutoConfigureApple-SU-secure.mobileconfig’ file in your downloads and double click it to begin installation.

  5. Click ‘Continue’ to install the SU-secure profile. Press ‘Continue’ again when you are prompted that the author of the profile is unknown.

  6. Enter your SeattleU credentials when prompted and click ‘Install’.

  7. If prompted, enter administrator credentials and click ‘OK’.

  1. Connect to SU-secure.

    1. Click on the wireless icon in the system toolbar to bring up the list of available wireless networks.

    2. Ensure that your wifi antenna is switched on, and then select ‘SU-secure’ from the list of available networks.

       

  2. Enter your credentials.

    1. A window will appear that prompts you to enter your credentials. Enter your SeattleU username and password, ensure ‘Remember this network is checked’, and click ‘Join’

       

    2. You may be asked to verify the security certificate. Verify that you are authenticating to service1 oitias1.seattleu.edu or oitnac1.seattleu.edu; and then click ‘Continue’ to accept the certificate and connect.

  3. Verify that you are connected

    1. Upon successful connection, your wifi menu will show a check mark next to SU-secure:

  2. Using Safari as your web browser, visit the ITS downloads page at https://www.seattleu.edu/support/downloads/ . You may be prompted to enter your SeattleU credentials to access this page.

  3. Locate the ‘Auto Configure SU-secure’ heading and download the Apple Devices configuration package.

  4. Run the ‘AutoConfigureApple-SU-secure.mobileconfig’ file

  5. Tap ‘Install’ in the top right corner

  6. Enter your device passcode if prompted

  7. Tap ‘Install’ in the top right corner, and ‘Install’ once more on the popup that appears

  8. Enter your SeattleU username and tap ‘Next’, then enter your SeattleU password and tap next

  1. Connect to SU-secure

    1. Tap on the settings app from the home screen.

    2. Tap on the wifi button on the settings menu to open up the wifi settings menu.

       

    3. On the wifi settings menu, ensure that the wifi switch is set to on (green), and then tap on SU-secure to connect.

       

  2. Configure your connection

    1. Enter your SeattleU username and password when prompted and tap ‘Join'

    2. You will be prompted to accept a security certificate. Verify that the certificate has the following properties and tap ‘Trust’:

      1. Name: service1 oitias1.seattleu.edu or oitnac1.seattleu.edu;

      2. Issued by: InCommon Server Thawte RSA CA

  3. Verify that you are connected

    1. Upon successful authentication, your wifi settings menu will show a checkmark next to SU-secure:

       

  4. If you are unable to connect your device to SU-secure after following the above steps:

    1. Validate that there are no static IP address or DNS settings that are configured on your device. Devices that are configured with a static IP address or static DNS settings will not be able to connect to SU-secure

    2. Validate that the username and password being used are your current SeattleU username and password
