Introduction

Microsoft Bookings is an online and mobile app designed to allow students and colleagues the ability to schedule appointments with faculty and staff. Using Bookings, you can set office hours or other specific booking times, duration of appointments, acceptable lead and cancellation times, and automatic notifications of booking changes.

How to set up a booking calendar

  1. Log In to Microsoft Bookings with your Seattle University email and password.

  2. Click Create Shared Booking Page to create a booking calendar.

  3. Under the “Business name” field, name the Booking calendar. 

  4. Select the type of business that your booking calendar falls under. Note: if your calendar is for Seattle University-related purposes, select Education.

  5. Enter the hours that you want bookings to be available. Note: if you are setting up your calendar for office hours, enter in the intended office hours.

  6. Click Next to move on to the next step.

  7. Look up and add people who you would like to give access to your booking calendar. Give specific access to each invitee.

  8. Click Next to move on to the next step.

  9. Set up a Service by changing the available days of the week, time slots, zoom links, etc.

  10. Click Next to move on to the next step.

  11. Select who can book appointments on your booking calendar. You can select no self-service, which means only you and other administrators can book appointments, limit bookings to people in your organization, or have no limits at all.

  12. Finally, click Create. Your booking calendar should now be complete.
