  • One network jack is available per student.  One or more Network jacks may also be available in select common areas such as lounges, study rooms, or lobbies.

  • Internet access from a Reshall jack does not require any authentication

  • Access to systems hosted on the internal SeattleU network from a Reshall jack requires the device authenticate at a web portal before attempting to connect to the internal system. Typical on-prem systems requiring such access include:

    • Computer Science servers

    • Select library systems, from a wired Reshall wired network jack requires

  • Each wired network jack will provide 85-95Mbit/sec throughput

Residents in Bellarmine, Campion, Chardin, Douglas, Murphy Apartments, and Xavier are not allowed to setup or use any device that creates a WiFi network (SSID), whether it is broadcast or not. This includes, but is not limited to, wireless access points or wireless routers/firewalls. This is necessary to reduce potential impact with SeattleU-provided WiFi.
