Outlook refers to three products that Microsoft has to offer.
Outlook desktop application.
A robust communication and time management tool, the desktop application is part of the Microsoft 365 (M365) suite and requires a M365 license to use.
Allows you to manage all your email in on place.
Allows you to manage your calendar, and schedule.
Able to manage public folders.
Able to manage shared mailboxes.
Outlook.com also known as 'Outlook on the web.'
Does not require a license to use, but requires a Microsoft account (This includes SU emails).
Can access your email on any device with a browser and internet connection.
Able to access shared mailboxes.
Outlook mobile.
Refers to the Microsoft mobile application for phones and tablets running Android and iOS.
Doesn’t require a Microsoft account.
Doesn’t require a M365 license.
Can manage email and calendar.
Can manage shared mailboxes.
