On the Teams desktop app

Cold (no notice to receiving agent) transfer:

  1. From a call, select the

  2. Then select transfer Transfer

  3. You can now type in the name of someone in your organization. You can also type in the number you’d like to transfer to.

  4. The person receiving the transferred call (if in the organization) will see in the popup window who the call was transferred from.

Warm (receiving agent consulted) Transfer:

  1. From a call, select the

  2. Then select consult then transfer Transfer

  3. You can now type in the name of someone in your organization. You can also type in the number you’d like to transfer to.

  4. Instead of the call going right to them you’ll be connected to the person then have the option to transfer

  5. To finish the transfer, click the transfer Transfer button in the top right of the screen.

On a physical Teams phone

  1. From a call, select Transfer.

  2. Then select Transfer Now.

  3. You can now type in the name of someone in your organization. You can also type in the number you’d like to transfer to.

  4. The person receiving the transferred call (if in the organization) will see in the popup window who the call was transferred from.

  1. From a call, select Transfer.

  2. Then select Consult first.

  3. You can now type in the name of someone in your organization. You can also type in the number you’d like to transfer to.

  4. Instead of the call going right to them you’ll be connected to the person then have the option to transfer.

  5. To finish the transfer, select the transfer Transfer button.
