  • The most important part of that email, is the highlighted link “click here”. This will take you directly to the form in question, where your action is required.

Email Notifications vs Etrieve Inbox

  • After clicking on the link from the email notification, you will be directed to your Etrieve Forms page with the right panel opened up, showing you the form in question. From here, you can review the information already in the form before you take your action(s) and fill out your parts of the form.

  • This form, the same form from the email notification, also lives in your Etrieve Inbox in the left panel. If you open your Etrieve inbox, you will find all forms that currently require your action.

For the majority of Seattle University users, accessing forms that require your action from the email notifications is more convenient than manually opening them from your Etrieve Inbox.

  • Before you hit “Approve”, bear in mind that you can always print or download the form at any point from the action bar at the bottom of the page for your own records.

  • Now that you have completed your part of the form, you can hit “Approve” on the far left in the action bar at the bottom of the page

Meaning of the “Approve” button: please note, that “Approve” in this context, does not mean that the form is complete after this, nor does it mean that you are confirming that the objectives/criteria of this form have been met. “Approve” here simply means that you are moving the form to the next step of the form’s workflow.

...

  • After you hit “Approve” and the form goes through without any errors, you can always check the status of the form under the “Activity” item in the left panel.
