How to find your IP address

If you are connected to the VPN or are on-campus, you can visit https://mypc.seattleu.edu/ to find your IP address. Otherwise, choose your operating system below to expand the steps for your computer.

  1. Click the Apple menu (in the top left of the screen) and select System Preferences…

  2. Click on the Network icon

  3. In the left-sidebar, choose either Wi-Fi or Ethernet, whichever option you are currently using to connect to the internet. Then your IP address is visible underneath the Status: Connected text in the top half of the window.

Here’s how to find your IP address in Windows 10

  1. Right-click on the Windows logo in the lower-left corner of your screen and select Settings.

    2. Click Network & Internet

    3. Click on Wi-Fi or Ethernet in the left-sidebar depending on the way you connect to the internet

    4. Click on Network in the center panel.

    5. Your IP address will be visible at the bottom of this page under IP settings.
