New Features in Windows 11

New Features come to Windows 11

Windows 11 is here with updated visuals and improved collaboration! Windows 11 is designed to enhance end-user productivity and to support today's hybrid work environment. Below are some of the highlights of the updated version!

  • Simple, modern visuals help you focus on what matters.

  • Snap assist makes the most of available desktop space. Organize open windows with pre-configured layouts that intelligently adapt to the size and dimensions of your screen. Choose from multiple predefined arrangements to keep all valuable information at hand. And automatically restore your window arrangement when docking and undocking. Learn more about the snap feature

  • Integrated voice typing lets you dictate in an app or just use voice to command the operating system. Using your microphone, type without a keyboard or control your PC.

  • A great tablet experience includes spacing enhancements that improve the touch experience. Enjoy quicker actions with touch or pen, a redesigned customizable on-screen keyboard, and enhanced inking. Animated guidance simplifies your touch experience, and a new pen menu makes it easy to capture your thoughts.

  • Microsoft Power Automate is a low-code solution that empowers coders and non-coders alike to automate processes and tasks right from their Windows desktop. It includes a flexible recorder, 400+ out of the box actions, and drag-and-drop designer. Learn more about Power Automate

  • Inclusive video conferencing is important for virtual meetings. Ever get asked for an opinion but not be able to contribute because you couldn’t find the unmute button in time? You can now quickly unmute (or mute) straight from the taskbar while in a Teams call. You can also keep the background in the background by blurring it and applying noise cancellation, making it easier to meet while in a busy or noisy environment.

  • Share a window while in a meeting, straight from your taskbar, so everyone can see what you’re talking about. Windows 11 includes APIs to allow collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Teams, to tightly integrate with the user experience. To share a window when in a Microsoft Teams meeting or on a call, simply select the open window and choose Share

  • Widgets are available on your taskbar to provide a personalized feed that can include weather, calendar, stock prices, news, and more. Learn more about widgets

  • Multiple desktops let you open different apps depending on what you’re doing. For example, you can create a Travel desktop that includes websites and apps focused on travel. Learn more about multiple desktops

  • The most secure Windows yet, Windows 11 has new built-in security technologies that add protection from the chip to the cloud, while enabling productivity and new experiences. Key security features, like hardware-based isolation, encryption, and malware prevention are turned on by default.
