How to Unenroll Your Personal macOS Device from Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM)

If you accidentally enrolled your personal device in Seattle University’s Intune MDM solution or want to unenroll your device, follow these steps:

Remove your device

Follow these steps to remove a device from Company Portal that you no longer need for work or school. For these steps to work, you must still have access to your work or school account. If you no longer have access to your account, see How to Unenroll Your Personal macOS Device from Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) | Remove a configuration profile from your Mac (in this article) to unenroll your device.

  1. Sign in to the Company Portal app for macOS.

  2. Go to Devices and select the device you want to unenroll.

  3. From the app toolbar, select the Devices menu > Remove.

  4. When asked to confirm the removal, select Remove. The device is immediately removed from Intune.

After you complete these steps, you can uninstall Company Portal from your device.


View an installed configuration profile

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, click General in the sidebar, then click Device Management. (You may need to scroll down.)

  2. Double-click a profile in the Device Management list to view information about it.


Remove a configuration profile from your Mac

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, click General in the sidebar, then click Device Management. (You may need to scroll down.)

  2. Select a profile in the list, then click .

When you remove a profile, all of its settings and information are deleted. For example, if the profile set up your email account, removing the profile deletes the account information from your Mac.
