Find a Public Folder in Microsoft Outlook - Mac

Step-by-Step

Public Folders allow shared Outlook inboxes and calendars to be used by multiple people who have permission to access them. On Macs, you must Subscribe to the public folder for access.

  1. Launch Microsoft Outlook.

  2. On the Tools menu, click Public Folders

A list of public folders appears. Mail folders are represented by the folder icon

Folders to which you have already subscribed to are displayed in bold

  3. Click the folder that you want to subscribe to, and then click Subscribe

The subscribed folder appears in the navigation pane under Subscribed Public Folders

  4. To view the contents of the folder, click the folder in the navigation pane. Messages or contacts in the folder appear in the item list. Or, if the folder is a calendar folder, events appear on the calendar.
