Accessing The Microsoft Store from an SU issued device:

Are you receiving this error message or one like it?

Follow these steps to gain access to Seattle University approved apps to download.

You must be connected to VPN to perform the first 5 steps, but you should no longer need to connect to VPN to see the store after it becomes visible.

  1. Close the App store and all other programs/apps.

  2. Ensure you are connected to
    Global Protect VPN

  3. From start menu, open
    “Command Prompt”.

4. Within the open Command Prompt window, after “C:\Users\yourusername>” type:

gpupdate /force

Please note there is a space between “gpupdate” and “/force”
5. Hit “enter”
Your computer will need 15-30 seconds to attempt to update the group policy.
If you receive a message that it was successful, you can close this window.
The warning/error message below it is normal and no action on your part needs to be taken.

 

 

Refresh your Microsoft Store Settings:

  1. Click the Start Menu, then Settings

  2. Click ‘Apps

  3. Scroll down and find Microsoft Store

  4. Click ‘Advanced Options’

  5. Scroll down and click ‘Reset’

 

After closing the Settings app, attempt to access the store again (close it and reopen it) and you should see:
