Transferring a call on Teams Phones

On the Teams desktop app

Blind transfer:

1. From a call, select the …

2. Then select transfer

3. You can now type in the name of someone in your organization. You can also type in the number you’d like to transfer to.

4. The person receiving the transferred call (if in the organization) will see in the popup window who the call was transferred from.

Consultive Transfer:

1. From a call, select the …

2. Then select consult then transfer

   1. 

3. You can now type in the name of someone in your organization. You can also type in the number you’d like to transfer to

4. Instead of the call going right to them you’ll be connected to the person then have the option to transfer

5. To finish the transfer, click the transfer button in the top right of the screen

On a physical Teams phone

Blind transfer:

1. From a call, select Transfer.

2. Then select Transfer Now.

3. You can now type in the name of someone in your organization. You can also type in the number you’d like to transfer to.

4. The person receiving the transferred call (if in the organization) will see in the popup window who the call was transferred from.

Consultive Transfer:

1. From a call, select Transfer.

2. Then select Consult first.

3. You can now type in the name of someone in your organization. You can also type in the number you’d like to transfer to.

4. Instead of the call going right to them you’ll be connected to the person then have the option to transfer.

5. To finish the transfer, select the transfer button.
