The following provides instructions on how to install IBM SPSS Statistics on a computer running Windows 10 or 11.
Instructions
Login with your SU credentials and proceed. Versions V27, V28 &V29 are all active
Download the IBM SPSS Statistics zipped file folder file at https://redhawks.sharepoint.com/sites/ITSDownloadsCenter, choose the WIN 10 or WIN 11 version depending on your device.
The installer should begin running.
On the IBM SPSS Statistics – InstallShield Wizard screen, click Next
On the Software License Agreement screen, read the terms and choose I accept the terms in the license agreement, then click Next.
On the Destination Folder screen, click Next to install the software to its default location.
On the Ready to Install the Program screen, click Install.
SPSS will now install. This process takes 2-5 minutes.
Once the installation has completed, click Finish on the InstallShield Wizard to end the installation process and launch IBM SPSS Statistics.
The first screen to open at launch should be a screen about how to license SPSS. Pick Launch License Wizard.
On the Product Authorization screen, choose Concurrent User license and then click Next. You must be connected to the Seattle University network to successfully complete the authorization process, either on campus, or by using the Global Protect VPN.
The next screen will prompt you for a license manager server name or IP address. Our license manager server is ITS-LMS-APP1. Hit Next.
One successfully licensed, the next screen should look like this:
Hit finish, and wait for SPSS to re-launch, now fully licensed.
Note: If for some reason, licensing via the Concurrent user license does not work, you can continue with the following other option
Select the Authorized user license option.
NOTE: If the Product Authorization screen does not automatically open, launch IBM SPSS Statistics. You will be asked to authorize your copy of SPSS. Click License Product to begin your authorization.
On the Enter Codes screen, enter the appropriate code for the specific SPSS version (see below) the code is case sensitive.
Once you have entered the code, click Next to continue.SPSS Version (V27) code: 5f5bd1d600eab642d3bc

Once the authorization process is complete on the Internet Authorization Status screen, click Next.
On the Licensing Complete screen, click Finish to complete the installation.
NOTE: ITS suggests you open IBM SPSS Statistics once the installation has finished to ensure that the software has installed correctly.
