Windows 10: Connect to Network drives
Summary
Connect to your S: drive or other network drive on a PC with Windows 10.
Make sure user is staff/faculty. If user is a student employee, Service Desk can only give access to the SE account.
The T: Drive retired on August 31, 2024. Service Desk no longer supports T: Drive
Step-by-step
Requirements:
On Campus - make sure that you have a network cable plugged into the computer or connect to one of the SU wireless networks. Once you are connected, proceed to the next steps.
Off Campus - you will first need to establish an internet connection and then connect to SU network, either through our VPN or our Redhawk Labs.
Open File Explorer and navigate to This PC.
At the top of the window, right click on This PC, then Map network drive.
In the new window select a letter from the Drive drop-down menu. Use T: for a University TEAM folder, or S: for the Share drive (for specific data unsupported by SharePoint)
Enter the file path of the network drive you'd like to connect to
S: Drive: \\seattleu.edu\share
Student W: Drive: \\its-web-ws1\students\username
Replace “username” with your SU username.
Fac/Staff W: Drive: \\its-web-ws1\fac-staff\username
Replace “username” with your SU username.
Check the box for Reconnect at sign-in.
Click Finish.
It will ask you to log in, using ‘seattleu\YourUserName’ as the username format. So if your username is jdoe you’ll need to enter ‘seattleu\jdoe’.
