Sometimes applications start acting goofy for no reason. Often this is the result of corrupted data in the system files, or a failed install. A relatively easy troubleshooting step is to attempt to repair the software. Here’s how.
This action may or may not require Admin Rights to perform. If performing these actions prompts you to enter Admin credentials, and you do not have them, then you will need remote assistance. Please generate a ticket with Service Desk via our Customer Portal.
Instructions
Right-click on the Start button (lower-left corner on the taskbar)
Choose Apps and Features
Select Mircrosoft Office from the list of apps, and select Modify
Choose Repair from the popup window and click on Continue
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the repair
Restart your machine
Note: Performing this action will repair the entire Office suite even if it’s just one application you want to repair such as Word or Excel.
