When creating a new project in Visual Studio make sure it is saved in your U drive.
Instructions
Select the menu for Location
Click on This PC
Scroll down and double-click on DFS-MyDocuments (U:)
Create a New Folder to store your Visual Studio project
In this example, we named it VS Projects. Select it and click Select Folder
Your project location should now be in your U drive. You can continue setting up your project
