Issue: I need to update my MFA settings

If a user needs to update their MFA settings, they can follow the steps below.  The Service Desk cannot update MFA for a user, only the user can update their settings.  The Service Desk can clear current MFA settings for the user to reset. If you forgot your device, please contact the Service Desk for help.

  1. Open a browser and navigate to https://aka.ms/mfasetup

  2. The user will need to authenticate and complete a MFA prompt

  3. Then, you are permitted to do the following:

    1. Select a default method security verification method

      1. Call my authentication phone

      2. Text code to my authentication phone

      3. Call my office phone

      4. Notify me through app – preferred

      5. User verification code from app or token

    2. Add or change a phone number

    3. Setup the Microsoft Authentication App

    4. Delete your account from the Microsoft Authentication App
