Instructions
Click on the Start Menu in the lower-left corner of the screen
Click on Settings
Click on Update & Security
Click on Windows Security on the left panel (on some versions it may appear as Windows Defender)
Click on Virus & threat protection
Click on Scan options. DO NOT click on Quick scan
Select Full Scan and click on Scan now
When the scan is complete, remove any malicious files and restart your machine
A full virus scan can take from 2 - 6 hours. It is inadvisable to use your computer while the scan is in process. Because of this, you may want to perform this action at the end of your workday.
