Sometimes applications start acting goofy for no reason. Often this is the result of corrupted data in the system files, or a failed install. A relatively easy troubleshooting step is to attempt to repair the software. Here’s how.

Instructions

  1. Right-click on the Start button (lower-left corner on the taskbar)

  2. Choose Apps and Features

  3. Select Mircrosoft Office from the list of apps, and select Modify

  4. Choose Repair from the popup window and click on Continue

  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the repair

  6. Restart your machine

Note: Performing this action will repair the entire Office suite even if it’s just one application you want to repair such as Word or Excel.
