Update Legacy (Basic) Authentication on iOS
When legacy (basic) authentication is disabled, accessing email through the iOS mail app may not work.
Preferred Method for Accessing SU Email
Option 1- Outlook App
Follow these instructions for setting up the Outlook App on your iOS mobile device.
Other Methods for Accessing SU Email
Option 2 - Delete and re-add your email account in the Apple mail app:
On your iOS device, select Settings > Mail > Accounts
Select the SU account you want to delete
Click “Delete Account” at the bottom of the screen
Follow these instructions to setup your SU email account without legacy authentication
In step 3, you must select “Sign In” instead of “Configure Manually” to resolve the legacy authentication issue
Note: Your iPhone needs to be at iOS version 11.3.1 or higher to use this option. Some versions of iOS may require you to go to Settings > Accounts and Passwords to remove your SU account.
Option 3 – Outlook on the web:
Your SU email can always be accessed through Outlook on the web.
Open a web browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.)
Sign in with your SU email address
