If you are the administrator on your computer, follow this article to update Java on your Mac. If you are not the administrator, contact the Service Desk.

Step-by-step

Requirements:

  • Must be an Administrator on your computer.

  1. Click the Apple  in the upper left-hand corner.

  2. Click System Preferences.

  3. Click on Java.

  4. Click on the Update tab.

  5. Click Update Now.

  6. Click Install Update.

  7. Click on Install and Relaunch.
