Transferring Sway Documents

Transferring Sway Documents

Sway has its own document storage that does not support transferring ownership or shared accounts/groups. However, if you are leaving the University and others need continued access to your Sway documents there are two options to ensure the data is not lost:

Option 1: Export to Word or PDF

  1. Open the Sway document

  2. Click the '…' menu, and select Export

  3. Choose Word or PDF format

  4. Save the file in a shared storage area (Teams/SharePoint)

Option 2: Have a co-worker duplicate the Sway document

  1. Share the Sway document with a co-worker

  2. Have the co-worker open the document, click the '…' menu, and choose Duplicate

  3. The co-worker will then need to re-share the duplicated Sway document with the necessary recipients
