We named the environment Redhawk Labs for SU and Apporto is the vendor that provides this environment.
Yes, the Desktop, Documents, and Downloads folders are persistent.
The Documents folder is also known as the U: drive in Redhawk Labs
And some folders in AppData are persistent
The desktop is locked down. There are some items that are unavailable for users.
The machines are not joined to the domain that’s why they have that username instead of their SU. Users will need to sign in to Office using their SU account
If a user is assigned to more than one desktop, they will see both of those apps regardless of the desktop they launch.
It uses a Windows Server OS
For staff, the best option is to navigate to https://seattleu.apporto.com/
For faculty and students, the best option is to have the Redhawk Labs app added to their Canvas course https://seattleuniversity.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/17/article/1355513933?src=511887283
Faculty can enable the app in their course and we assign the desktop they need for that class. When student launches it from Canvas a new tab opens and they can see the desktops they have access to.
No, Redhawk Labs is only web-based.

Sessions can be as long as needed
Sessions can be idle for 1 hour
Once the idle 1-hour time is reached the user enters a disconnected state and the user has 10 minutes to reconnect
Typically, if you click the refresh button in File Explorer that should refresh the OneDrive sync
