Enabling Focused Inbox in Outlook

Focused Inbox separates your inbox into two tabs—Focused and Other. Your most important email messages are on the Focused tab while the rest remain easily accessible—but out of the way—on the Other tab.

Your Seattle University email has Focused Inbox turned off by default. To turn it on, click the link below and follow the directions for your version of Outlook, or select from the table of contents under the link.


Outlook Web Version

  1. Log in to Outlook 365. 

  2. Click on 

Settings > View All Outlook Settings. 

  1. Select Mail > Layout

  2. Under Focused Inbox, check the radio button for “Sort messages into Focused and Other.

     

New Outlook Desktop

  1. Select the View tab. 

  2. Select Show Focused Inbox

 

Outlook App for Mobile Device 

  1. Click the menu button at the top of your screen. 

  2. Choose  

  3. Use the Focused Inbox slider to turn Focused Inbox off.
